Those lucky enough to see the senior play last night saw one of the best performances seen at Lockers for a number of years – it was a triumph! Watching the rehearsal last Sunday I would never have predicted that it would be so good – lines were fluffed or forgotten and the acting was wooden. Mrs Hill and Mrs Forshaw worked a miracle over the week and Cast 2 have an awful lot to live up to. (Unusually there are two different casts, one performing each night, though the main characters stay the same.) The play is also a triumph for the backstage crew – who are totally in charge. Dylan is a magician with the lighting board and Oscar was spot on with sound. Freddie got just the right amount of smoke onto the stage, at just the right time. (On Sunday we had to evacuate the school as we set off the fire alarm!) Alex and Charlie were totally in charge of the crew. If you didn’t watch the play last night and have the opportunity to do so, you really ought to. I doubt that you will ever see a better sword fight scene than the one William and Oba have – absolutely breath taking! The curtains open at 7.00.
Life is always busy at Lockers Park and this is a snapshot of everything that has been going on.
