Maple Lodge Waterworks

For several years Lockers has had an Eco Committee – boys elected by their peers to represent their Form and do various Green activities around the school. They recycle paper, turn off lights, tend the school allotment and go to regular meetings.

Today was a little bit different – they went to Maple Lodge water treatment works in Watford to see what happens once we flush the chain on a toilet. They had a fascinating visit where they were told about the importance of cleaning our waste water and how the water company goes about it. They then had a guided tour of the site. The boys loved their trip! “There was poo everywhere!” one excited boy told me on his return to class. Many thanks to Mr Iqbal for organising the visit.
