It is always with some trepidation that I approach the Year 5 Bunsen burner lesson, as the consequences of something going wrong can be quite serious. Needless to say the boys love it! The first thing to go wrong was that the gas was very reluctant to flow. You don’t think of things like that when you plan a lesson! This was the first time since the summer term that Bunsen burners have been used, so we needed to let some air get through the system. (Thank you Mr Iqbal for your help!) Once the burners were working normally everything went smoothly. The boys learnt how to light them and also what a luminous, medium and roaring flame was. Now we can start doing some REALLY exciting things!
Life is always busy at Lockers Park and this is a snapshot of everything that has been going on.
