One of our boys, Rupert, went into Great Ormond Street Hospital in the last weeks of the summer term for a bone marrow transplant – he spent 13 weeks there in an isolation room. At Prize Giving in the summer term Rupert was awarded The Bruce Cup, a prize given to those boys showing perseverance. He has now been presented with this. He is recovering at home and we are looking forward to seeing him back at school in January.
Rupert wrote all about his stay in hospital and the full article is in the half term newsletter. While he was there, he met a boy whose medication is funded by the hosptial because it is too expensive for the NHS to pay for.
Lockers Park is launching an art fundraiser for GOSH, which we hope you will all take part in.
