The Last Football of the Season

Yesterday saw the last football matches of the season, with every fit boy in Years 5-8 representing the school. We played against 3 schools – Edge Grove, Heath Mount and Westbrook Hay – quite a logistical nightmare. Well done to Mr Taylor and Mr Doyle for getting the transport correct! All of the matches were competitive. I particularly enjoyed watching the Colts F & G teams play. These boys might not be natural footballers, but what they might lack in skills they make up for in determination. It is also interesting to see how much they have improved over the course of the season, due in no small part to the coaching they get several times a week. Roll on the rugby season!
