Nature and the Environment lessons are all about making the most of opportunities as they arise. Today the temperature fell to -5 degrees and the ground was covered in frost. The pupils enjoyed looking at the frost, breaking up some ice they found in a bucket and looking at and touching the frost. We then did some mapping of the grounds. I was very impressed with the maps the pupils created, each from their own unique perspective. Some were like “proper” maps, others were 3D drawings of what they could see in front of them. In my opinion a map beats a SATNAV any day!
