School Council

At least twice a term the School Council meets. Each Form in the Prep School has a representative on the School Council and these representatives then take the views of their Form to the meeting, which is chaired by Mrs Roberts. As you might imagine the subjects raised are often very pupil orientated. They discuss food regularly and such things as why it would be a good idea to have longer breaks. Today they were talking about choosing a charity for our sponsored walk, on the last day of term. (Last year our charity was a local school, The Collett School.) I was very impressed to hear Sam suggest a dementia charity and his reasons why. Each representative gave their case for the charities their Forms had mentioned. Mr Wilson, the Headmaster, listened intently. In due course we will announce later in the term, which charity has been chosen.
