Sense of sound

Today our Years 1 & 2s learnt to really use their sense of sound. They started in a silent circle, with one pupil being blindfolded. One of the other circle members then clapped their hands and the blindfolded person had to locate them. It sounds fairly easy, but it wasn’t! Some of the blindfolded pupils stayed rooted to the spot and didn’t move at all. One or two went in totally the wrong direction! We then went to put their listening skills to real use with a game of hide and seek. They got better and better after each go.
