As part of their Roman topic the Year 4s went to Verulamium Museum. While they were there they handled Roman artefacts and learnt more about the Roman way of life in Britain. One of their favourite activities in the Museum was making mosaics – at one stage 15 boys were sat on the floor having a go. They were also very impressed by the hypocaust and amazed that the Romans had central heating two thousand years ago. Very many thanks to Mrs Pizzey for organising the trip and to everyone at Verulamium Museum for making us so welcome.
