A7I Kindness Assembly

Each week the whole school meets for an assembly, often led by one form. Today it was the turn of A7I who spoke about “Kindness”. They started the assembly with some definitions and quotes:

Kindness definition: The quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.

“No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.” Aesop

“Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” Mark Twain

“Be kind to unkind people – they need it the most.” Ashliiegh Brilliant

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children…to leave the world a better place…to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

They then went on to show examples of kindness that could happen around the school using photo examples involving themselves. Each boy also spoke about an occasion where they had been kind. Mr Wilson finished the assembly by giving examples of kindness that he, as Headmaster, had come across. This included letters he had received complimenting the 1st XI on their performance and behaviour in their last match of the season.

Very well done A7I and Mr Iqbal for an inspiring assembly.
