Set Debate

Each year in the Spring term the Set Debate takes place. This is always a lively affair with passionate and heated arguments by the participants and probing questions from the floor. This year the debates were: “This house believes it is not about the taking part but about the winning”. “This house believes that the world would be a better place if women were in charge.” “This house would never fight if there were a war.”
As you can imagine feelings ran high! Well done to Tunmise and Freddie of Mountbatten who won the competition, to Ibrahim and Edward for the best floor questions and to Freddie for the best speech. Thank you to Mr Phillips for organising the debate and to Mr Erskine-Naylor for judging.
