Today was the first Nature and the Environment lesson of the new school year and we thought we would explore the grounds. We started by sitting in our new log circle listening to what we could hear. Jonathan thought he could hear some construction going on – actually it was the tractors getting the cricket square ready for next year. After a quick play on the play equipment we explored some of our wooded area. Sookie mentioned plums, so we found out where they were and most of the children enjoyed eating them. We finished off near the pool where an apple tree was growing – guess what? Apples were on the menu too!
Life is always busy at Lockers Park and this is a snapshot of everything that has been going on.
