National Portrait Gallery

Our Year 7s’ had a fascinating trip to The National Portrait Gallery  where they really had a close look at a number of pictures and then had a go at creating them.  The Iris Murdoch portrait provoked a great discussion about mark making and the Lowery self portrait also had them talking. They also tried their hand at stained glass (using gummed paper) before having a more in depth look at some historical paintings from the Tudor era. Many thanks to Mrs Hill for organising the trip.
