A stick frame has so many different uses, but before you can have one you have to make it. This was the first time we’ve made these in our Nature and the Environment lessons and two things became very clear: you need to listen carefully and you need to work as a team. There was great enthusiasm searching for the perfect sticks and then, in some of the teams, great concentration as they bound the sticks together. Some teams opted for triangular frames, others for more abstract shapes. One team decided to ignore the instructions and make a rocket instead. There was huge satisfaction from the pupils who produced something they were proud of – I can see these up on many a bedroom wall!
Life is always busy at Lockers Park and this is a snapshot of everything that has been going on.
