Our Remote Learning provision ensures all pupils continue to experience an enriching curriculum. With the full support of an experienced staff team, pupils make sound progress and consolidate prior learning. Pupils receive a full educational timetable of live lessons with a balance of subjects to enjoy each day – from core subjects such as English and Maths, to Sport, Music, Art and Classics.
As well as ensuring their academic progress, our pupils’ wellbeing and mental health is a critical consideration through periods of Remote Learning. Wellbeing challenges and weekly wellbeing surveys help pupils stay engaged, remain positive and continue to thrive.
We believe our approach to pupils’ wellbeing and education has been second-to-none. During the first lockdown of 2020, the fantastic pace of Remote Learning ensured that all years were two weeks ahead of the academic schedule by mid-June and we were proud to be one of the first schools in the area to welcome all pupils back to school, when it was safe to do so.
We are lucky to have a strong school community here at Lockers Park, one which has demonstrated resilience, positivity, and a profound sense of togetherness during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Parents have commented:
“When we chose the school for our son we made some assumptions on interactions with the staff that they would be a fantastic team for him to learn with. We are so very impressed with how things have been handled; we are very grateful for the support.”
“Both boys are working hard and seem to be really enjoying virtual learning. Lockers Park is delivering this exceptionally well….all down to the teachers.”
“Thank you to you and all the teachers for being so calm, patient and encouraging. It is obvious you put a huge amount of effort into the lesson preparation. You are doing an amazing job.”
“My son is very buzzy and happy and gave his past two days eleven out of ten.”
“Thanks for all the smiles. You’re working so hard. Thanks so much for your creativity and hard work and for continuing to inspire my son.”
“I feel much more positive having earwigged on PHSE! I thought it was a great lesson.”
