Lockers Park Prep School offers a fully-rounded boys education, taking children from Year 3 to Year 8. Small class sizes – a maximum of 16 with a pupil:staff ratio of 8:1 – and a motivational environment enable each boy to realise their potential. We operate a practical and inclusive approach that fosters a palpable energy and enthusiasm, as evidenced by our recent ISI Inspection:

“The instinctive support that pupils provide for one another as well as their thirst, enthusiasm and energy for life and learning is a significant strength of the school.” The Independent Schools Inspectorate – 2017

At Lockers Park we have a highly-regarded, experienced teaching team that encourages the best from every child and provides all the support growing boys need.

Years 3 and 4 boys are taught mostly by their class teacher, supported by specialist teachers and a teaching assistant. From Year 5 onwards all lessons are taught by subject specialists, giving a more mature school experience that requires greater pupil autonomy. Pupils are encouraged to participate in a broad range of extra-curricular activities to enrich their school life; a breadth of opportunity from music and sport through to drama and science is placed at each boy’s fingertips, waiting to be discovered.

Bespoke Support

Tailored educational support can be provided by specialist staff if required. We monitor individual progress closely, utilising a system of effort grades which are fed back to parents four times a term. Parents can also expect to receive regular subject reports over and above our traditional parents’ evenings.

Senior School Preparation Programme

Lockers Park has a well-respected Year 6-8 Senior School Preparation Programme to prime boys for scholarship, Common Entrance and entry exams to their chosen senior schools. Our exemplary track record saw all of our current leavers progressing on to their first choice of senior school.
