The 7th Hemel Hempstead (Lockers Park) Scout group consists of a Scout troop, a Cub pack and a Beaver colony. Unusually for Scouting this is a “closed” group, only available to the pupils of the school.

Our groups meet as follows:
Beavers: Thursday 5.15pm – 6.15pm (Y2 and Y3)
Cubs: Thursday 6.15pm – 7.45pm (Y4 and Y5)
Scouts: Friday 6.00pm – 7.30pm (Y6, Y7 and Y8)

Over the course of the year our young members take on a host of challenges and activities, and we spend as much time outdoors as possible. We support our local community and learn vital life skills, from lighting fires and cooking outdoors to understanding about other people’s difficulties.

Our members are actively involved in wider activities within Hemel Hempstead District Scouts, including overseas camps (for Scouts), night hikes etc, and  the boys also participate in a number of Hertfordshire County Scouts activities, and have spent time fundraising and volunteering for local charities.

Our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are led by Jan Maddern (“Skip”), with a team of staff members and parents, and ‘young leaders’ who are generally old boys from the school.
